ALGAR AOR-MAN is the artistic name of Alberto García; musician, composer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, music producer and vocal coach from Madrid, who began his musical studies at the La Poveda Conservatory at the age of 9, where he received his first music theory, singing and classical guitar classes.

In 1995, he bought his first electric guitar and received lessons from several experienced teachers, as well as working on the instrument in a self-taught way. That same year he formed his first rock band, BAPHOMET, where he served as songwriter, singer and lead guitarist until his dissolution in 1997.

In 1999, after several years having contact with other musicians in Madrid, Alberto received a call from Juan Ramón Ruiz "Lapi", drummer of the spanish legendary metal group MURO, to join his cover band, called LAPICERO, as a singer, the vocalist accepted the offer and began working with them for the scheduled concerts.

At the end of 2001, he left the band to start composing melodic rock songs for his own musical project. After 3 years away from the stage, he became part of the group BRODAS as a guitarist and backing vocalist, with whom he collaborated composing songs and performing live.

In 2006 he decided to leave the group to focus exclusively on songwriting for his personal project, in order to form his own band and be able to take those songs to the studio and live.

However, in mid-2008, and at the request of the drummer, Alberto returned to the band of "Lapi" as a singer, this time under the name BLACK SHARK and with some changes in the line-up compared to the time under the name LAPICERO.

This second era at the head of the cover band lasted almost two years, and in 2010, after meeting several musicians from the capital who were interested in his project, Alberto permanently left the cover band to found ALGAR, his own melodic rock band. who began working with the songs composed by the vocalist years ago. After completing the line-up at the end of 2009, the group made their live debut in Madrid in February 2010 with great public success.

Already with his own project underway, preparing the recording of his first studio album and scheduling live performances with the entire band, Alberto received a call a few months later from Luis Santurde, founding drummer of the mythical spanish melodic rock group SANGRE AZUL, to propose him to be the vocalist of his new musical project, called S-21, together with great musicians, some of them from the TOKIO band from Pinto, a proposal to which the vocalist finally agreed.

During 2010, he combined his work as a singer in this band, composing new songs and contributing ideas for existing compositions, with his work at the head of ALGAR, with which he offered a large number of concerts throughout that year, and with which who presented his first EP, entitled “Atrévete” in the month of May. In one of the shows on the tour, Alberto received an offer from the guitarist Jerónimo Ramiro (SANTA, ÑU, SARATOGA), asking him to join his band SANTELMO as frontman, but the vocalist turned it down.

At the end of 2010, the members of the legendary hard-rock band BEETHOVEN R, friends of Alberto since the late 90s, contacted him to offer him to join the band after the definitive leaving of their original vocalist, a proposition that the vocalist accepted. He soon began working with them on new stuff for the group's fifth studio, while they offered concerts throughout the country to consolidate the formation, including a performance at the Caracol venue in Madrid, which was recorded live for the DVD "Dejándonos la piel... en directo!" which would be published in mid-2012 under the label of Avispa Music Records.

At the same time, the band began working on a repertoire of covers of some of the best international hard-rock and heavy metal songs in the rehearsal room, giving rise to the BEETHCOVER project, made up of the members of BEETHOVEN R. in order to perform these versions live, which include songs by classic bands such as IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST, HELLOWEEN, HARDLINE, WHITESNAKE, BON JOVI or Y&T among many others.

In 2011, Alberto began working as a singing teacher, combining his work as vocal coach with leading ALGAR, S-21, BEETHOVEN R. and BEETHCOVER. But due to the incompatibility of the schedule and by mutual agreement with the rest of the band, the vocalist decided to leave S-21 after a year of working with them due to the impossibility of giving 100% to the project.

Two years later, in mid-2013, personal circumstances of some of his musicians, forced to interrupt ALGAR's activity in terms of performances, performing one last concert in July of that year. Not so with regard to the composition of songs, since the vocalist has continued writing songs for a first album. 

In 2015, and focused on his work as a frontman in BEETHOVEN R. and BEETHCOVER, and in his singing classes, Alberto decided to found, together with Yolanda González, the acoustic duet ETERNAL SOULS, with whom he began to perform acoustic adaptations live of blues, pop and rock songs of all times, with a very personal touch. The project ended up consolidating itself with its dynamic and fun shows, performing frequently in some of the most important concert halls in Madrid, such as Honky Tonk, Pirata's Rock Wey, Club Blackbird, Revolution Cafe, 7 Rock Bar or La Nota Rock, among others.

In 2016 he edited with BEETHOVEN R. the last and most elaborate studio album of the group to date, entitled "A fuego en la piel", which was released with the record company Rockest Records in April of that year. The album, the band's first with Alberto as vocalist, had a great acceptance among the followers of the group and an important sales success worldwide.

Years after leaving BLACK SHARK for good, Alberto once again received a call from drummer Juan Ramón Ruiz "Lapi", who brought together the original formation of MURO, and in the absence of the singer, he contacted him to propose that he be the new vocalist for the legendary band from Madrid, which already had signed some performances, both in Spain and other countries in Europe and Latin America, which required time that he didn´t have and, therefore, he had to decline this new offer.

In 2018, after several previous contacts that did not come to fruition, the Moonworld Records company finally hired Alberto as one of the main singers of the show for its HISTORY OF ROCK 2018-2019 tour, as a member of its cast of artists together with the vocalist. Argentine Inés Vera-Ortiz, and the Swedish singers Kenny Leckremo and Thomas Vikström, as well as an international rock band, with whom he would perform more than thirty shows in some of the main theaters and auditoriums throughout Spain.

After this tour, Alberto would perform his last concerts in 2019 with BEETHOVEN R. whose members decided to stop the project indefinitely after 22 years of experience, 5 studio albums, 1 compilation, 1 live CD+DVD, hundreds of concerts throughout the country, participation in some of the most important spanish festivals and several failed attempts to perform in Latin America. Anyway, they would continue with the BEETHCOVER project, due to the numerous live offers for this project in some usual venues.

From his beginnings at the end of the 90s until today, Alberto has made many collaborations as a vocalist, both in the studio and live, sharing recording sessions and stage with great artists such as Jorge Salán, Chema Sales, Luisma Hernández, Luis Morate , Jesús and Ángel Novillo, Will Maya or Pablo Perea among others, in addition to performing music production work on recordings by these and other artists.

Likewise, until the dissolution of BEETHOVEN R. in 2019, Alberto has shared the bill and stage with countless Spanish and international bands such as WASP, HEAT, STRYPER, MEGADETH, AMARANTHE, UFO, ECLIPSE, WARCRY, LEO JIMENEZ, UNISONIC, BATTLE BEAST, HAMMERFALL, VOLBEAT, MICHAEL SCHENKER or TAKO, to name just a few of them.

Alberto is currently recording his first solo studio album, which will be released in 2023, and it will include some of the group's classic compositions, as well as new songs composed by him in recent years. This work is being recorded and produced entirely by the vocalist, and will include collaborations with both national and international artists, musicians who are important to Alberto due to his musical influence, as well as the friendship that unites them;  as Brooke St.James (TYKETTO), David Palau (GÜRU), Gregg & Matt Bissonette (DAVID LEE ROTH, JOE SATRIANI, ELTON JOHN, RINGO STARR...), Bill Leverty (FIREHOUSE) or Thomas Vikström (THERION) among others. In addition, he continues to work as a singing teacher at a prestigious music academy in Madrid, and regularly performs live, both with ETERNAL SOULS and with BEETHCOVER.

ALGAR AOR-MAN es el nombre artístico de Alberto García; músico compositor, vocalista, multinstrumentista, productor musical y profesor de canto madrileño, que comenzó sus estudios musicales en el conservatorio de La Poveda a la edad de 9 años, donde recibió clases de solfeo, canto y guitarra clásica. 

En 1995, compró su primera guitarra eléctrica y recibió clases por parte de varias profesores experimentados, además de trabajar el instrumento de forma autodidacta. Ese mismo año formó su primera banda de rock, BAPHOMET, donde ejerció de compositor, cantante y guitarra solista hasta su disolución en 1997.

En el año 1999, tras varios años teniendo conctacto con otros musicos del circuito musical madrileño, Alberto recibió la llamada de Juan Ramón Ruiz “Lapi”, batería del legendario grupo de metal MURO, para unirse como cantante a su banda de versiones, llamada LAPICERO, el vocalista aceptó la oferta y comenzó a trabajar con ellos de cara a los conciertos programados. 

A finales de 2001, abandonó la banda para empezar a componer temas de estilo rock melódico para su propio proyecto musical. Después de 3 años alejado de los escenarios, pasó a formar parte del grupo BRODAS como guitarrista y corista del mismo, con quienes colaboró componiendo temas y actuando en directo.  

En el año 2006 decidió salir del grupo para centrarse exclusivamente en la composición de canciones de cara a su proyecto personal, con el fin de formar una banda propia y poder llevar esos temas a estudio y a directo.

Sin embargo, a mediados de 2008, y a petición del batería, Alberto regresó a la banda de “Lapi” como cantante, ésta vez bajo el nombre de BLACK SHARK y con algunos cambios en la formación respecto a la época bajo el nombre de LAPICERO. 

Esta segunda etapa al frente de la banda de versiones duró casi dos años, y en 2010, tras conocer a varios músicos de la capital interesados en su proyecto, Alberto abandonó definitivamente el grupo de versiones para fundar ALGAR, su propia banda de rock melódico, que comenzó a trabajar con los temas compuestos por el vocalista años atrás. Tras completar la formación a finales de 2009, el conjunto debutó en directo en febrero de 2010 en Madrid con un gran éxito de público. 

Ya con su propio proyecto en marcha, preparando la grabación de su primer trabajo de estudio y programando actuaciones en directo con la banda al completo, Alberto recibió a los pocos meses la llamada de Luis Santurde, batería fundador del mítico grupo de rock SANGRE AZUL, para proponerle ser el vocalista de su nuevo proyecto musical, llamado S-21, junto a grandes músicos, algunos de ellos provenientes de la banda pinteña TOKIO, propuesta a la que el vocalista finalmente accedió. 

Durante 2010 compaginó su labor de cantante en esta banda, componiendo nuevos temas y aportando ideas para las composiciones ya existentes, con su labor al frente de ALGAR, con los que ofreció un gran número de conciertos a lo largo de ese año, y con los que presentó en directo su primer EP, titulado “Atrévete” en el mes de mayo. En uno de los shows de la gira, Alberto recibió una oferta del guitarrista Jerónimo Ramiro (SANTA, ÑU, SARATOGA), para proponerle unirse como frontman de su banda SANTELMO, pero el vocalista la rechazó. 

A finales de 2010, los miembros de la mítica banda de hard-rock BEETHOVEN R, amigos de Alberto desde finales de la década de los 90, contactaron con él para ofrecerle unirse a la banda, proposición que el vocalista aceptó. Pronto empezó a trabajar con ellos en nuevos temas de cara al quinto estudio del grupo, a la vez que ofrecieron conciertos por todo el país para consolidar la formación, incluida una actuación en la sala Caracol de Madrid, que fue grabada en directo para el el DVD “Dejándonos la piel… en directo!” que sería editado a mediados de 2012. 

Al mismo tiempo, la banda comenzó a trabajar en el local de ensayo un repertorio de covers de algunas de las mejores canciones de hard-rock y heavy metal internacional, dando lugar a la aparición del proyecto BEETHCOVER, integrado por los miembros de BEETHOVEN R. con el fin de interpretar en directo esas versiones, que incluyen temas de bandas míticas como IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST, HELLOWEEN, HARDLINE, WHITESNAKE, BON JOVI o Y&T entre muchas otras. 

En 2011, Alberto empezó a ejercer como profesor de canto, compaginando su labor de docente con su trabajo al frente de ALGAR, S-21, BEETHOVEN R. y BEETHCOVER. Pero la incompatibilidad de agenda y de mutuo acuerdo con el resto de la banda, el vocalista decidió abandonar S-21 tras un año de trabajo con ellos ante la imposibilidad de dar el 100% en el proyecto. 

Dos años más tarde, a mediados de 2013, y debido a circunstancias personales de algunos de sus músicos, Alberto se vió obligado a interrumpir la actividad de ALGAR en cuanto a actuaciones, realizando un último concierto en julio de ese año. No así respecto a la composición de canciones, ya que el vocalista ha seguido escribiendo temas de cara a un primer disco de estudio. 

En el año 2015, y centrado en su labor como frontman en BEETHOVEN R. y BEETHCOVER, y en sus clases de canto, Alberto decidió fundar, junto a Yolanda González el dueto acústico ETERNAL SOULS, con el que comenzaron a interpretar en directo adaptaciones acústicas de canciones blues, pop y rock de todos los tiempos, con un toque muy personal. El proyecto acabó consolidándose en la capital, realizando actuaciones frecuentes en algunas de las salas de conciertos más importantes, como Honky Tonk, Pirata´s Rock Wey, Club Blackbird, Revolution Cafe, 7 Rock Bar o La Nota Rock entre otros. 

Años después de abandonar BLACK SHARK definitivamente, Alberto volvió a recibir una llamada del batería Juan Ramón Ruiz “Lapi”, que reunió la formación original de MURO a falta del cantante, para proponerle ser el nuevo vocalista de la legendaria banda madrileña, que ya tenía cerradas algunas actuaciones, tanto en España como otros países de Europa y Latinoamérica, que requerían de un tiempo del que no disponía y, por tanto, tuvo que declinar esta nueva oferta. 

En 2018, tras varios contactos anteriores que no llegaron a fructificar, la compañía Moonworld Records contrató finalmente a Alberto como uno de los cantantes principales del show para su gira HISTORY OF ROCK 2018-2019, como miembro de su elenco de artistas junto a la vocalista argentina Inés Vera-Ortiz, y los cantantes suecos Kenny Leckremo y Thomas Vikström, además de una rock band internacional, con los que realizaría más de una treintena de shows en algunos de los teatros y auditorios principales de toda España. 

Tras este tour, Alberto realizaría en 2019 sus últimos conciertos con BEETHOVEN R. cuyos miembros decidieron parar indefinidamente el proyecto después de 22 años de trayectoria, 5 álbumes de estudio, 1 recopilatorio, 1 CD+DVD en directo y cientos de conciertos por todo el territorio nacional, participaciones en algunos de los festivales más importantes del país y varios intentos fallidos de actuaciones en latinoamérica. En cambio, sí que seguirían con el proyecto BEETHCOVER, debido a las numerosas ofertas de directo para este proyecto en algunas salas habituales.  

Desde sus comienzos a finales de los años 90 hasta hoy día, Alberto ha realizado multitud de colaboraciones como vocalista, tanto en estudio como en directo, compartiendo sesiones de grabación y escenario con grandes artistas como Jorge Salán, Chema Sales, Luisma Hernández, Luis Morate, Jesús y Ángel Novillo, Will Maya o Pablo Perea entre otros, además de realizar trabajos de producción musical en grabaciones de estos y otros artistas.

Asimismo, hasta la disolución de BEETHOVEN R. en 2019, Alberto ha compartido cartel y escenario con infinidad de bandas españolas e internacionales como WASP, HEAT, STRYPER, MEGADETH, AMARANTHE, UFO, ECLIPSE, WARCRY, LEO JIMENEZ, UNISONIC, BATTLE BEAST, HAMMERFALL, VOLBEAT, MICHAEL SCHENKER o TAKO, por nombrar solo algunas de ellas. 

En la actualidad, Alberto se encuentra grabando su primer álbum de estudio en solitario, que saldrá editado en 2023 bajo el nombre de ALGAR, con algunas de las composiciones clásicas del grupo, además de nuevos temas compuestos por él en los últimos años. Este trabajo está siendo grabado y producido íntegramente por el vocalista, y contará con colaboraciones de artistas tanto nacionales como internacionales de músicos importantes para Alberto por su influencia musical, así como la amistad que les une. Además, sigue ejerciendo como profesor de canto en una prestigiosa academia de música en Madrid, y realizando actuaciones en directo habitualmente, tanto con ETERNAL SOULS como con BEETHCOVER.
