ALGAR is Alberto's personal project and his reason for being as a composer since the early 90s. In that decade, which he listened to groups like TYKETTO, FIREHOUSE, WHITE LION, SANGRE AZUL, WARRANT, DANGER DANGER, VIXEN, POISON, STRYPER , JOURNEY, NELSON, WHITESNAKE, EUROPE or MR.BIG among many others, he began to write songs with the intention of one day forming his own melodic rock band in which to sing them and make them known to the general public.

After years composing, studying and working on other musical projects, and searching for years for musicians related to this musical genre, finally, in 2009, he managed to form a stable line-up for ALGAR, with which he would record his first EP, entitled "Atrévete", and perform various live performances.

In 2012 the group's live activity would cease, but Alberto continued composing songs for a first studio album. Currently, he is immersed in the recording of this first album by ALGAR, which will be released at the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024.

This work, recorded and produced entirely by Alberto, will include both songs composed by the vocalist years ago as well as new songs, and will feature the collaboration of musicians from different parts of the world who have had a great influence on Alberto, both musically and personally, through throughout his career.

ALGAR es el proyecto personal de Alberto y su razón de ser como compositor desde principios de los 90. En esa década, en la que escuchaba grupos como TYKETTO, FIREHOUSE, WHITE LION, SANGRE AZUL, WARRANT, DANGER DANGER, VIXEN, POISON, STRYPER, JOURNEY, NELSON, WHITESNAKE, EUROPE o MR.BIG entre muchos otros, comenzó a escribir canciones con la intención de formar algún día su propia banda de rock melódico en la que cantarlas y darlas a conocer al gran público. 

Tras años componiendo, estudiando y trabajando en otros proyectos musicales, y buscar durante años músicos afines a este género músical, finalmente, en 2009, consiguió reunir una formación estable para ALGAR, con la que grabaría un primer EP, titulado "Atrévete" y realizaría diversas actuaciones en directo. 

En 2012 cesaría la actividad del grupo en directo, pero Alberto siguió componiendo canciones de cara a un primer álbum de estudio. En la actualidad, se encuentra inmerso en la grabación de este primer disco de ALGAR, que verá la luz a finales de 2023 o principios de 2024. 

Este trabajo, grabado y producido íntegramente por Alberto, incluirá tanto canciones compuestas por el vocalista hace años como nuevos temas, y contará con la colaboración de músicos de distintas partes del mundo que han tenido una gran influencia en Alberto, tanto musical como personalmente, a lo largo de su carrera.
